About Bronagh Holmes Luxury

Bronagh Holmes Luxury was born out of a love of Fashion and Luxury but with a desire to make a difference and an awareness of our social and environmental responsibilities. I am working towards a more sustainable and conscious new luxury, embracing the art of craftsmanship and slow fashion. BHL bags have featured in Vogue, Tatler, House of Coco and Irish Country Magazine to name a few. One of my highlights has been the Aeryn bag in Perch making an appearance on the Green Carpet at The Green Carpet Fashion Awards in Milan.

In 2017 Bronagh Holmes Luxury was awarded The Butterfly Mark for Positive Luxury in recognition of my efforts to be a transparent and sustainable luxury brand.

Each leather handbag is designed and hand-crafted by me in my home studio in Donegal. Every piece is designed and made with love, care, attention to detail and finish before being beautifully packaged and sent to its new home.

The design process for me is a very organic one. I don't always design a new collection or piece as I am consciously creating pieces that are sustainable - not fast fashion/seasonal. All of my pieces are very classic in style and shape to allow them to last throughout the changing styles and years. I create bags that are made to be used everyday as well as special occasions. My inspiration can come from anywhere including playing with my current styles in different finishes - but what inspires me most is architecture, paintings and nature.
