What is the Design Ireland Programme?
The Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) first introduced the Design Ireland brand in 2016 to raise the profile of Irish design and craft at home and abroad.
Since then, it has evolved into a wider programme that includes:
- The Design Ireland website – re-developed in 2020 and marketed to both domestic and international audiences
- Design Ireland at Showcase
- Design Ireland at International Events – such as Maison & Objet & Shoppe Object New York
- Design Ireland retail initiatives – such as the AIR Design Ireland in Dublin airport and the Design Ireland pop-up in Heals London
Brands that pass selection will automatically be included on the Design Ireland web site, and will be considered for all Design Ireland initiatives.
How are brands selected for the Design Ireland Programme?
An independent panel of market experts from Ireland and abroad will be assessing Design Ireland Programme applications in 2021/22.
The selection will be completed and results will be sent to all applicants no later than the 5th of March 2021.
