Fashion Designer from Co. Monaghan
Helen Steele's work lives somewhere between a performance art show and a catwalk.
There is a long tradition of Irish country women wearing bold colour amongst their grey stone walls - and Steele, working out of a converted duck hatchery in Co. Monaghan, continues that tradition in her unique way. Her work with paint and bold print create riots of playful visual textures that have brought Helen to London and Paris fashion weeks. Hardly what you'd expect from a duck farm.
